Endodontics (Root Canal)

This branch of dentistry focuses on preventing and treating diseases of the dental pulp, which is located ‘inside’ of your teeth.  At Braidwood Dental Centre we evaluate and diagnose issues that may be happening inside your tooth. Often, when a tooth becomes inflamed or infected from the inside, we prescribe root canal therapy, which means that we remove the nerve and other tissue of the pulp cavity and fill it with a material called gutta-percha. Afterwards, we restore the tooth with a filling or crown and your tooth will continue to function as normal.
